One of the best ways for cotton growers to plan on harvesting more pounds of higher quality lint is with the use of Larvin® insecticide/ovicide. Research has shown that applying Larvin not only results in effective ovicidal and/or larvicidal action against Heliothis, but also represents an important part of a resistance management program.
Applied at the ovicidal rate, Larvin provides three-way control other ovicides just can't match. First, Larvin kills eggs on contact. Second, the residual activity of Larvin kills eggs that are newly laid on spray residue. And third, Larvin delivers powerful control of neonate larvae by ingestion of egg membrane. Since Larvin is a selective insecticide ovicide, it won't trigger secondary pest flare-ups such as aphids.
